Veteran Coverage

Capony Express proudly supports Canadian Veterans by helping make medical cannabis more accessible. If you are a Veteran, you may be eligible for coverage through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). Once eligibility is confirmed, VAC may reimburse up to 3 grams per day (of dried cannabis or the equivalent in other formats) at a maximum rate of $8.50 per gram.

If the product you choose costs more than $8.50/g, Capony Express covers the difference. All products purchased through Abba Medix can be processed through direct billing with Veterans Affairs Canada.

While you are waiting for VAC approval (this typically takes 7–30 days), you can place your first order for 90 grams of medical cannabis. When registering, be sure to include your K number and indicate that you are a Veteran in the Capony Express registration form. If you have been approved for coverage above 3 grams per day but need to order beyond the covered amount, that additional portion is also eligible for a 20% discount.

For retired and recently released Veterans who do not have suitable coverage, Capony Express also offers a 20% discount.

Capony Express also recognizes the potential benefits of medical cannabis for Veterans’ spouses and aims to support families as well: a spouse may receive a 10% discount on orders. To qualify, the spouse must be registered as an active Capony Express patient and live at the same address as their partner. If you have an exception related to caregiver status, please contact support to confirm the details.

First Responders

Capony Express offers 20% off for First Responders, with a limit of up to 30 grams per month.

To qualify, you must provide proof of employment in one of the following roles: firefighter, police officer, or paramedic. Acceptable documentation includes a badge, certificate, or a letter from your employer.

Support Program

This program is designed to help patients who need extra support access more affordable pricing. Eligible participants who are on disability or similar low-income government assistance programs receive 15% off Capony Express medical cannabis products.

To qualify, your annual income must be $32,000 or less. You must also provide income verification annually (for example, a Notice of Assessment).

Patients who are 18 years old or youngerautomatically qualify for the Compassionate Care program.

Senior Coverage

Capony Express supports older adults by offering 10% off all cannabis products.

Patients over 65 who do not qualify for the Compassionate Care program are automatically approved for the senior discount.
